The Dish
It is thrilling to announce that the NB Museum has purchased an entire collection of Carol Smeraldo's work dating from the late 1970's to the early 80's from a private collector. They now have plans to exhibit this work at their museum in the near future.
Congratulations to both Birdsall/ Worthington Pottery of Mahone Bay and Artifacts in Clay from Chester. They were both nominated this year for the Lunenburg County Business Excellence Awards. during small business week for Export Achievement. They have both done an outstanding job with quality products, presentation and customer service.

Argyle Fine Art-ceramics at the gallery! Argyle Fine Art is dedicated to showing various styles of art in a variety of mediums, including ceramics. We recognize the importance in showing original ceramics in a fine arts atmosphere-not only to be found in the world of craft. We have had great success with ceramics in our gallery setting and are pleased to be working with a number of ceramic artists including Mary Jane Lundy, Amber Mills as well as the unique work by Heather Keeling, Lindsay Mongomery, Margaret Bailly, Dylan McHugh,Anne Pryde and Mary Kim.
In fact, Argyle Fine Art will have hosted 2 solo exhibits for ceramic artists this season, including the upcoming show of work by Mary Kim in a show entitled dunce macabre opening Friday, October 20th. Mary Kim will be creating a mysterious world of ceramic creatures and installation pieces. Argyle Fine Art is always interested in receiving submissions from ceramic artists that display high quality but are also imaginative, original works-both functional and sculptural-especially as we begin to plan our exhibitions for the following year.

BULK BUYING
Would Guild Members like to share sources for craft show supplies/packaging, etc.?
Do you have a favorite local supplier?
Do you order boxes, tissue and/or bags from somewhere in Upper Canada?
If so, do you have to order an astronomical number of the critters to get a reasonable price?
Would there be any interest in making bulk orders for some of these items to attain best prices and a variety of sizes?
To answer any one of these questions please forward information to your communicator Mary Jane
